Over our 75+ year history, Curtis Power Solutions has provided hundreds of generator sets for use in commercial applications such as hotels, office buildings, apartments and condominiums, casinos, shopping centers, and restaurants. 

These projects have ranged from a simple diesel generator set with an integral fuel tank and an automatic transfer switch to multi-unit systems with remote fueling systems, custom sound attenuated walk-in enclosures, and sophisticated paralleling switchgear and controls.

Many commercial or multi-unit residential buildings are required to have stand-by/backup power systems for emergency lighting, fire protection systems, and elevator operation during a power outage. Additionally, many business owners, from Fortune 500 companies to small mom and pop businesses, rely on diesel or natural gas generators to protect their computer systems, facilities, inventories, personnel, and brand reputations from power outages.

Many buildings and building complexes also have a high demand for heat and power.  Natural gas powered co-generation systems provide a flexible combination of heat and power (CHP) using the engine-generator set to create electricity and the waste heat from the exhaust and cooling system to supply hot water.  Adding an absorption chiller, the CHP system can also transfer heat into ambient cooling, which can then, provide air conditioning or chilled water to the facility.
